Your problem is that since you worship a lying cheating Philandering felon you think its normal for people to be crooked.

You so brave.

You really think folks would sit around and starve without figuring it out and doing what needed to be done?

I think a good percentage of the population would. As soon as serious food shortages started rolling across the country, many people would resort to looting what was left in a heartbeat. Panic looting.

Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

I guess I’m having a liberal moment here because while I believe the criminal element will certainly be prevalent, the majority of people will figure it out without becoming criminals. lol

Show me the workforce that would replace the field workers, the carpenters, etc. you think America has a population of people willing to work 12 hours a day in the hot sun for minimum wage? Yes I truly believe if every illegal packed up and went back to Mexico in one day, week, month, year, or even five years. The food chain would be broken like we've never seen. COVID should have taught you something about how fragile the supply chain is. Now apply that to food.

Think about America losing ten million workers, half of those workers grow our crops. Yeah, I think this country would be crippled.

85% of Americans live in the city. Most don't have a place to grow a garden or animals and if they did it would be stolen.

2bit, you'll never get far trying to make folks on here understand how things work in the real world. They have a fantasy that American workers if only paid enough, would gladly take all the ag work now being accomplished by migrant/illegal workers. Or that the homeless and welfare spongers could suddenly become productive workers if forced to. Good grief. Some should maybe check in with a few farmers who depend on field laborers how well that works. I know I've tried to hire folks off the street and it flat out doesn't work.

The opposite.
The farmers will fold first, like in the 30s then head en masse to the cities looking for relief.
People living together in related family clans, in remote places that have hunting gathering skills will last the longest.Everyone will have a role and contribute from the young to the old.

The U.S. has a labor shortage even with the current level of illegal immigrants. This became apparent around 2018. So the government lowered the legal immigration cap. Since the U.S. birth rate(Fertility rate) is below replacement the U.S. will not be producing enough home grown workers to meet demand. Apparently, we haven't for awhile. This is nothing new. If you don't want so many illegal immigrants, raise the cap. If you don't want immigrants, good luck with that.

"Factors Contributing to the Labor Shortage
Early retirements and an aging workforce

As of October 2021, the pandemic drove more than 3 million adults into early retirement. In all, the number of adults 55 and older being detached from the labor force due to retirement grew from 48.1% in Q3 of 2019 to 50.3% in Q3 2021.

Additionally, the share of older individuals within the U.S. population is steadily increasing, and it’s likely this trend will continue. This shift is partly attributable to the fact that younger generations are having fewer children compared to their predecessors, resulting in a progressively older, and diminishing population.

Net International Migration to the U.S. is at its lowest level in decades

U.S. Census Bureau data shows that net international migration to the U.S. only contributed to a 247,000-person increase in the U.S. population between 2020 and 2021. Compared to the prior decade’s high of a 1,049,000 increase in our population between 2015 and 2016 due to immigration, the impact that immigration has had on U.S. population growth dropped by 76%."

Plenty of kids around here would love a job close to home but the government has made it impossible to hire them to pick and pack produce.

Other than being yelled at for not wearing a mask in a store I was not affected by Covid.

"WASHINGTON -- Are there too many foreign-born physicians working in the U.S., or not enough? Members of one House subcommittee appear to be strongly divided on the issue.

"Today, approximately 200,000 foreign medical graduates work as physicians in the United States," Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, said Tuesday at a hearing on immigrant physiciansopens in a new tab or window held by the committee's Subcommittee on Immigration and Citizenship. "Immigrants account for more than 50% of physicians practicing geriatric medicine, approximately 40% of those practicing critical care and internal medicine, and nearly one-quarter of those practicing general medicine.""

Immigrants can solve the problem created by more immigrants.

"Doctors were more likely to be foreign born than other health care professionals, researchers report in JAMA.
About 29 percent of physicians were born in other countries, and almost seven percent were not U.S. citizens, the study found.
Roughly 24 percent of dentists were immigrants to the U.S., and four percent were not citizens.
Among pharmacists, 20 percent were born elsewhere and almost four percent were not citizens.
And 16 percent of registered nurses were immigrants; three percent were not citizens.
Slightly more than 23 percent of home health, psychiatric and nursing aides were born outside the U.S., and almost nine percent were not citizens, the study also found."
