I thought maybe Roundstone Native Seed carried it, but unless its in one of there mixes it doesnt appear they sell it by itself. Did find this company that has a list of what they sell it for, well seeds at least.

I think he's asking how much people pay for the harvested plant, not what it costs, lol.

Might try the wildcrafting forum on here.

Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Bergamot tea works very well on sinus infections. It also rapidly drops blood sugar.

I can buy a 50 pack of cells of wild bergamont plugs for $1.35 ea.
for ref.

I have done alot of transplanting of native forbs, I would never pay for such a common plant that is easily grown from seed, something very rare, yes.
Seeds are $10 for 70,000 seeds, so very cheap to start from seed.
The only way someone in my mind might be interested is if they want to put some around a house in a small planting just needing 1/2 dozen of so plants.
Gonna need lots of customers to make it worth your while.
If you sell to a nursery I suspect they'd want something grown in a pot or transplanted into a pot for easier sale.
If your going to sell plants best bet in my mind would be dig them late fall, keep them moist so the roots don't dry out (you could sell as bare root) and sell as quick as possible.

Where is Anthony? he might have some great insight here.

Our local cider brewery makes a bergamont flavored cider. It is easy to collect the seed.

It's the "Top Note" in my Poplar Creek beaver call lure. I have had good luck with it for over thirty years and it's one of the few formulas I caught summer time beaver with in Mississippi. I consider bergamot a good beaver lure ingredient and I recently added it to a batch of deer tallow/bear lard soap which turned out scented just right.

It's good in cat and grey fox lures.

Makes a unique flavored honey. Its a minor nectar source around here. Grows on the marginal soils and theres never really enough of it to amount to a substantial crop. I think its a significant nectar source in the southwest states though
