If you ship to FHA the pelts need to be stretched and dried.
If you sell to itinerant fur buyer be careful, some will take advantage of an inexperienced trapper.

Go to FHA, click "buyers" and then click "sold catalog". Dressed fur. Probably best to sell dressed locally.

The dressed fur in the FH catalog is goods from various furriers - extra inventory, damaged goods, or goods from dealers that owe FH money. You will note the size of the lots - 50 beaver in a lot and multiple lots. All professional dressed.

I doubt trapper tanned goods would even make it to North Bay. Most likely returned to sender from Cambridge. Or worse yet, placed in a dumpster or burn barrel. Sell your trapper tanned goods locally - flea markets, craft fairs, etc.

I asked if I could send a couple tanned black bear a couple years ago. They said “sure, why not?” As long as it’s got the claws & proper tag…GTG. Never would, but thought about it.
