This is another great rondy to attend. The Missouri folks put on a good event and have something for everybody. See ya there!

Still don't know if I will make it. We might be too busy harvesting.

What is cost and about how many yutes (youths.....kids) normally attend? $5 for the whole weekend. Plenty of kids, especially Saturday when school is out. Camping allows you the exposure to all the after hours campfire BS sessions. Good times.

Camping allows you the exposure to all the after hours campfire BS sessions. Good times. Another reason Josiah really like being home-schooled. Now I just pull him out as I know whatever he learns at the trapping rondy will be better than school. I chuckled last year as we got "threatening" letters from our small school last year because I had pulled him out to go look for his first archery deer, a week of beaver trapping, and the rondy. He is still my child and I will pull him out whenever I want - of course he doesnt mind it. Throwing a bicycle in the back of the truck is a good idea as there are usually a few kids with their bicycles around and it keeps them busy. Pretty neat watching all these kids grow up at different trapping meetings and now seeing them have kids......

Clay, not sure I can make your demonstration on Saturday but plan on visiting with you on Friday. Hopefully you can share some nuggets of wisdom.

I was only planning on getting the dozen of the NoBS beaver traps that I pre-ordered from Kendall, but the MB650 cast with the super stakes was just too good of a deal to pass. Did find a couple of old Dobbins Woodchipper in 4oz bottles for $10. Still full and smelled just as good to my nose.

Yes, Rusty was moving into his new home this weekend was the word I got. It was one of the best conventions that we have had in several years. Excellent attendance, folks were spending money, the auction was very successful and made us money. Kendell donated a bear trap painted like an American flag that brought $2700! If those Iowa and Minnesota dealers weren’t such a bad influence, my head wouldn’t have felt so bad Saturday morning. Thursday evening I fried the breasts off 3 big turkey gobblers, 5 lbs of frog legs, 8 lbs of shrimp, and 10 lbs of potatoes for the folks who helped set up, a few dealers, and some of the early arrivals. There wasn’t a crumb left. Good times!
