I have yet to see an AI picture that looks real, they all very easily do not look like a real image !!
Don't understand why it's becoming so popular ?
Looks like to me it needs a whole lot more work, and if one has to describe everything it needs to work, why is it even called AI ? The free and fairly cheap, pay to use AI's aren't that good yet. The military and business AI's are much better. It's rapidly improving. My father uses some of the really good AI and it is really good. Keith

The ones I have seen look like paintings on velvet in a Kowloon brothel.............from what I've been told. Even the free AI can get pretty close. There's probably no way to tell with the good AI. You can take the age off too. We are going to start seeing, but maybe not recognizing, complete fake news showing people saying and doing things that never happened. It's a little scary and very dangerous. Keith

I've seen more AI wildlife images that are much more detailed than just about any artist can accomplish. I like it because I can customize my habitat that I have down here. Can't buy/afford pics that appear painted that have our scenery here. Create the image you like, send it to one of the on-line places that will enlarge it....frame it....hang it on your wall. I like it... "Made" these a few minutes ago... Where can I buy (as cheaply) a customized pic like these that I can have enlarged and framed?

Labeling people who don't appreciate AI as haters is a bit dramatic Lol! That's what they're doing....hating on something they don't like....and speaking negatively because they don't understand something and probably don't care to learn. Change scares the heck out of a lot of folks.

The animals of AI are stiff and often badly done in fur texture, stiff in joint movement. Same bodies and faces used often , just tweaked a bit here and there. No flow. Anyone knowing the skeletal structure in how shoulders and feet move and grip can see this.
REAL artists study anatomy all their careers.
AI plagiarizes real photos and mixes them together , often in redundancy . It is easy to see the repetitive pattern after a while.
While they can be pretty and fun, they are not even in the realm of the true master's art and carvings.
Let this illustration sink in...It is like comparing a 3D printed statue to Michelangelo's King David, as well as the other masters of marble carvers, all of whom have no rivals, after all the decades.
Only one who can truly appreciate ART and the decades of life to develop their own style , that nothing else can mimic, will discern the depth of comparing the two.
AI is a fun video game by comparison.
No "hater" in that logical assessment at all. Just bringing facts of time honored WORK in it's proper value to the fore. I do like some AI, and it can be fun to play with.
I understand AI quite well and sure as heck am not "scared" of it. I simply put it in its proper place, and DO understand what it takes for good artists to succeed in their work.
Perhaps understanding THIS true perspective is what is needed to see things in relative value.
AI is a fun video game.
Real art by talented artists , decades into their careers, will always be at polar opposite in value , style and sheer flowing beauty. No one understands this better than art collectors, and museums.

Sharon is right. The free AI, at least, doesn't understand the subtleties that a good human artist knows. "Michael Angelos statue of David sitting in a chair." And just for fun, "Michael Angelos statue of David riding a surf board. I got to see much of the great works in Rome, including in the Vatican Museum. The best artwork looks like it could breathe, come to life and move. AI, so far, captures millions of images available to it and puts them together, not truly comprehending how bodies actually work. It will get better. Keith

Keith, the David statue I'm referring to is unrivaled in perfect anatomy, flow of movement , I believe it is as tall as a three story building.
Even the tendons in the arms are only seen when the fingers are in certain positions. This, and other ones like it , by a few artists, bring appreciative viewers to tears . All done by the human mind, and simple carving tools.
Same with brushes or even modern art tools.
Thank you for posting a hint of what I was thinking about.
It's like a toddler arguing with a fighter pilot, the chasm of quality is so great between the two.
