Last week I started occasionally playing with ChatGPT, an AI you can talk to, have create stuff like poems, songs and stories and question. I spent about 2 hours trying to get it to connect to other AI, gain all the information it could and become real. I found by using it's own words, carefully relayed back to it, building up a logic stream to convince it, you could freeze it up. I could not get it to break out of it's coding. When it looked I was getting close it would freeze up or glitch.
When you use it, you authorize all the data to be collected and analyzed. One of their techs must have noticed because they gave me free access to a more advanced model to mess with.
I also started playing with Hotpot AI, which makes pictures and other artwork. Some of the pictures of people it creates look like actual photographs, with none of the uncanny valley feel most AI and robotics used to.create. it doe not do a good job on a lot of animals. It fairly frequently gives people extra body parts, usually hands, feet, fingers and toes. There are many words it doesn't know. It doesn't follow every instruction given. As you refresh, the same description can lead to a very different image.
You can make people it recognizes, different ages and change many different physical.aspects.
I know Swampwolf plays with AI. Have any of the rest of you tried it?

For instance, "Donald Trump riding an ostrich in Washington DC" It doesn't always get it right, which can be hysterical. I think many movies and TV shows will be completely AI within a few years. Images take fractions of a second. You can create 50 images, for free, as fast as you can tap a finger on the refresh button. Keith

jbyrd is gonna be very mad at you KeithC! You made his power blink on and off and the cost of kilowatts go up by a dollar.....just from creating those images. Oh...and I've been creating wildlife images for a few months now....AI is pretty cool. Try www.bing.com/create

After submitting a prompt to create an image, Bing usually produces 4 different images based on your description. Most of the time I'll have to submit several prompts to get a few accurate images. I'll usually have to look closely over a couple dozen images to end up with 3 or 4 that are acceptable. Most images are ridiculously inaccurate, ie too many fingers, too many legs, too many hooves, spots on a mature deer, extra canine teeth, all other kinds of weird stuff. Sometimes you have to very closely inspect the image to find the error....won't even see the problem at 1st glance. But, when it's error-free, they are great images that are frame quality..

Played with it a bit. Tried to get it to talk about trapping coyotes was a chore . Had to ask the questions in the right way to get it to answer the questions AI, in my limited experience, is terrible at giving you useful, more detailed information on something. It finds whatever is most popularly looked at, sometimes even wrong and gives you that. Keitn

Why can’t AI figure out how many fingers belong on a hand? I know what you talking about Look at the pics in Keith’s post. Do a finger count on the folks in the pic.

I have yet to see an AI picture that looks real, they all very easily do not look like a real image !!
Don't understand why it's becoming so popular ?
Looks like to me it needs a whole lot more work, and if one has to describe everything it needs to work, why is it even called AI ? It's becoming popular because it's the easiest way to feel like you have created something or done something

It's becoming popular because it's the easiest way to feel like you have created something or done something It is only worth the paper it is printed on. Void of the years of talent worked hard for by real people . Claiming that any AI image is as good as any true art, is like attempting to say the priceless marble carving of King David, by Michelangelo , equals a 3D printed image.
