Don't use vinegar/water mix to take rust off if you plan on dying the traps either

I cleaned some traps up last year and tried to dye them. You could barely tell the had been in the dye and they didn't rust much either.
Ended up dipping them in rustoleum/acetone mix

Ok you guys must use different traps than I ever have. I always wanted rust on them Beautiful black coat of dye. As for pan rusting. Loosen bolt break them loose. Wax takes care of that
