I picked up what I want to say is a Newhouse slick pan 5. I can barely make out house on one of the springs. I know the chain is not correct and would like to find one (if they exist). Can anyone help confirm this trap, age and its value?

Yes, your trap looks to be a #5 Newhouse slick pan with cast jaws. The chain doesn't look to be original and the dog has also been replaced.
