Noticed the red/white PU. Got no idea why it is famous!

I didn't watch the video but will guess the red and white truck use to belong to Sam Walton.

This happened to be one of those deals you’re afraid to pass on more than you’re afraid of the brand.

Thanks for the input folks!

Don't get hung up on a brand. Every manafactuer makes good cars and bad ones. The real trick is to pick out the winners from the losers. Don't buy a car to impress your friends or family or for brand loyalty.
I have owned many , many cars. Have lost count. Buy a car to impress your wallet. Getting the most out of a vehicle for the lowest cost of ownership ( purchase price , repair cost , cost of insurance , fuel and resale ) is the goal. I had a '98 F-150 supercab lwb 2wd 302cid 5speed. Got it real cheap from a coworker who was going to trade it in. Got it for the trade-in price , so you know I got it cheap. About a week later drove it into work and another coworker seen me and the truck. He was a die-hard Chevy guy. When I told him how much I paid for it he immediately said he would have bought it. Respect from a hater.
It was a good truck , got a bunch of years out of it for very little loss when I sold it.
FYI watch out for rust on the frame and subframes on that model year.

Correct answer grin
Whoever the ad agency that did that commercial did a good job. Putting the Sam Walton pickup at the very end was a nice little hidden 'easter egg'

Good info, as stated, just a beater truck for trips to the dump and Home Depot. I figure I should be able to get 50,000 miles out of it anyway.
