Me wife and daughter voted early this morning. Daughter had to redo her ballot. Machine kicked it back out. RFK was still on the ballot. Daughter Marked Trump and RFK. Driving the back roads, we vote in an old country church. It was a beautiful fall morning. Fog was lifting and the cotton fields were aglow. Probably the most important Election Day we've ever voted in. As I stood looking over the ballot sheet I took my time. Is this the end of our Republic or will we be able to turn around the last four years. Either way one must be ready for anything thats coming down the road.

went and they have changed it up. instead of just pushing buttons on a machine it was a paper ballot fill in the bubble then feed it into a machine. At least they have a way ro go back and look for issues with the paper the machine ate and presumably stored.

Our's is touchscreen, then a printer prints it out on card stock. Feed that into the tabulator.

Supposedly every step is traceable. Present ID to the poll worker, scanner reads bar code on back of the driver's license, your info pops up on the screen, confirm it is correct with a signature, poll worker check signature on license. The worker then generates a mag stripe card to be used at the ballot station. Insert card, ballot pops up and proceed.

The final paper ballot has a QR code and now has the candidates and marks printed on it.

I eyeballed everything and made it known at each step and I still don't trust the machines.
