Bought my oldest a red ear slider when she was 3. It was size of a quarter when she got it. Of course we got a female since they get twice the size of male. Barely fits in a 5 gal bucket now. I’m cleaning it’s 60 tank that some how land in my building. What is the market like on a used turtle? i didn't know that was even a thing my guess is probably you pay what their worth in meat to foreigners

I tried to set it free last year but grand baby said Papaw I don’t want to get rid of Charlie All it took Hand Care and feeding over with the understanding if she fails Charlie goes to a home where she will get it If you were closer I would take her for my cousin’s daughter’s she can’t have a dog or cat or other furry animal due to really bad allergies so she has built a fair collection of amphibians including my own red ear, mine was a male

Let it go and make it look like it got out  Agreed. It's never too soon to crush the hopes and dreams of a young woman by cunning deceit. It'll set her up for surviving 2 or 3 lousy husbands in the future. Priceless!
