When you going to give us the wolfie downlow?

That’s fast, but people have hit 4500 with the 220 swift that came out in 1935.

No it's .222 mag if I remember right..you CAN use .223 but brass is gonna be short and you can get problems from that.
The 17-5.56 has had some tweaks don't to the camber and cases design that eliminate a lot of problems people had with .17 rem tho. What exactly idk . Mos tof the guys who are 17 addicts I've talked to who has switched over absolutely love it ... Partly because making brass for the thing is so cheap and easy

My choice of .22-250 factory ammo is 4000 fps. The .204 factory ammo I used to shoot was 4225 fps. Hornady Superformance is 4400 in .204, and 4450 fps in 22-250. Coyotes have a heck of a time out-running them. smile

That guy is full of crap. His introduction made me want to turn it. Plus unless I missed something the name of his video is alie. 1 mile a second? 4400 FPS ? Miles 5280 Fastest I’ve ever seen a bullet was a 220 swift Benchrest 22 inch barrel pushing 52 grainbullet at 4684FPS. Some of them broke apart in flight. Bullet fragments all that hit paper targets. This was in late 1970’s. Might have gotten more out of some of today’s bullets but I doubt it. One of the best rifle builders ever to live was sitting behind the gun. I was a lucky 15 year old kid watching and learning

Demon ranch is just one of those fun channels. Like FPS Russia back in he day.. now really somewhere id go for actual info.... Especially since 70% of his content is just shooting randoms stuff with random guns. Funny that I have alot of people ask me what's my favorite video from him and there always surprised them I tell them I'm not super interested in that type of content

There been guys topping close to 5500 fps with the 17-5.56 and the 15 gr NTX.not much of a speed demon type of guy though so not a ton of interest there for me

You guys did not watch the video. You quit before they got to the 12.5 grain brass bullet. Skip to about 13.40

the NTX is like a all copper poly tipped deal. One of the few ones that can stand the RPMs. The t hers the .17 stinger and Ed over on outdoor edventers runs that thing 5k all day with all copper hamme bullets he's a real hot rodder and abit of a odd guy so

The guys at KAK and varminter magazine did some better videos on the .17-5.56 though

How many rounds are you going to get out of a barrel before it's burnt up at a mile/sec?

Lol, professional.
It does about what all the other .17's do just cheaper and easier.

What do you mean by range

You are right again Wolfie, the 223 case is shorter and has less capacity that the 222 rem magnum, they say your memory is the second thing to go, and I don’t want to talk about the first thing:)

Check out the 240 Incinerator if you like the speed! (And don’t like your barrel life)
