I prefer my blades on my digging hammers to be straight and not with any angle. When you try to dig with a curved blade particularly into frozen ground, they tend to glance off and can cause some injuries to shins when standing and putting lots of force behind the hammer. Kneeling they can chip ice and frozen ground into your face. Just my experience over 55 + years. I'm with Bob on this. Got a season plus on that FNT hammer. It's tough but I hate the angled digger
