Isn't it amazing how the medical industry is so surprised that a good diet can actually fix things. I guess it makes sense though, they wouldn't make nearly as much money if they didn't sell unnecessary pills.

GREAT JOB !! I bet she feels better for sure!
Low carb is good diet IF the protein is not FAT based. Yeah skinny looks good. But the debate is still on. I looked at KETO diet but decided the warnings and foods weren't for me. Had a wise old DR tell me one time. WHAT you eat is important. BUT WHAT you do AFTER you eat is even more important.
I'm no expert but I know a lot of people who would disagree with you and a lot of people are convinced that a high fat/low carb diet is the best option. The fats make you feel satisfied, and this includes butter and animal fats. I know quite a few people who have lost a lost of weight and got their blood pressure, A1C and other markers way down by eating a diet with no carbs and high fats. Yes exercise is important but fats are not the bad guys.

I find it odd how the old timers ate the high fat meals and lived to be in the 90s with the health problems so common today I question everything put out today you have to sift through it to pick out what good and useful vs what's profit driven

Bernie believe what you want But I had cholesterol problems about 15 years ago. Dr wanted to put me on statins. I said nope I went to low fat diet Cut out beef entirely. Chicken turkey and some fish. I counted fat grams. Less than 10 per day. Lost 22 lbs and had TOTAL cholesterol numbers under 120 with no drugs. Say what you want. Read about keto diet. My father had heart attack at 38 so my thoughts are don’t put fat and grease inside you and won’t increase chances of heart attack. You guys pushing this keto stuff do know it’s dangerous to “enter” ketosis right ? Don’t even get me started on how hard it is on your intestines But it’s America have at it Everyones bodies process things differently. some people are genetically prone to heart attacks. People ate low carb high fat the last several thousand years until the Last hundred or so. It's how we are ment to eat. But we also used to be much more active just to find food and stay alive so most likely a mix somewhere in the middle is right.

Here you go fat fans And yet my wife's doctor told her to go keto to fix her bodies insulin resistance. O and she has had high blood pressure so if going by your copy past it should fix that as well. Everyone's body is different.

Yes and during those past thousands of years life expectancy was in the mid thirties. So don’t think I’d use that non scientific analogy if I was talking about life longevity But that being said Yes stop sitting around on your butt all day eating Twinkie and watching general hospital. Worst thing about carbs are they are everywhere. Keto is nothing new It was called Atkins diet decades ago. It fizzled out. Keto is getting replaced by ozempic push. Glad your wife is reaching her goals !!! Yep the ozempic push. Her Dr offered that she said nope I will change my diet. But the company that makes ozempic may be something to look into investing in. Several people at work have jumped on that band wagon. I don't see how it's healthy but everyone wants results with doing any work it seems.

I've know a few people that all they did was quit soda and they lost a lot of weight. Some of them drank a few 2 liter jugs a day!, thats a lot of sugar... I was with a younger guy working on a project a few weeks ago. By the end of the day I noticed that he had drank a few cans of "Arizona Ice Tea". I asked him how many he had drank, he said "four". We did the math, that was over a half pound of sugar; on top of the bag of mini donuts and other sugary junk he had eaten. The guy is built like a rail, just like his dad was at that age. I pointed out to him that his dad was also built like him when he was young. His dad died of a heart attack two years ago and was morbidly obese. His dad's diet was terrible, the kids diet is worse.

speaking of cholesterol . did you catch the Harvard med student who ate eggs for a month something like 720 eggs and his cholesterol went down
my cholesterol went down going low carb
Vegtable , Meat , dairy , and a few carbs like fruit and some beans. if your body still tolerates it without your glucose going high a little bread, rice or potatoes
if you can't grow it or raise it and it takes some sort of factory to make it , you shouldn't eat it.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
