There' no time like snow time!
Just wasn't as majestic as I would have hoped. The winds a bit breezy and being rushed on the check doesn't help. Always fun though! I'll let the under ice sets rest until Saturday.

The snow yesterday did make the mink and muskrat active. Had 11 rats and 2 buck mink in my bottom edge sets today. Not a great picture but I was in a hurry to get back.

Walt, Much easier than skinning and scraping coon, lol. I only have about 10 coon left to scrape with about 92-94 done already.

Nice otter Deerfly. I really need to get some sets out for them but will probably wait until after Christmas. I did put out a couple ermine boxes today for fun.

Checked sets today. Beautiful day out there in the Marsh. No wind, no sounds, just awesome. Looked at some more area as the 10 day looks like spring break weather.
Great time to get out if your in to that type of thing.

Mike, I bait some sets and just the trap in others. I'm always set in a travel way/ bubble trail though. Always just below the ice, unless it's a bank den location. I'm always learning and making adjustments. Keeps it fun.
Clear ice to read when setting helps, time after that creates information, adjustments there after.

Thanks! I went out yesterday but too much snow on the ice to see bubble trails. Might try baited sets tomorrow.

Picked up Otter #2 today with my son. We're headed out ice fishing shortly.

Nice otter Deerfly. I really need to get some sets out soon. I've seen otter sign in two locations while checking my bottom edge mink/muskrat sets. Only had 2 muskrat today but did catch 5 ermine so it make the day worthwhile. My wife came along and I'm pretty sure she brings me luck.
