Had that done to my elbow twice years ago.Not fun.

I was thinking same thing, but x-rays show I have good knees for a 60 yr old. Still plenty of joint gap. Doc says my knee joints look great and shouldn't need a replacement for next 10 years or more.

My problem is a small arthritic bone growth and slight meniscus tears. Doc won't even consider surgery. Says drain fluid and eat NSAIDs.

Had fluid withdrawn from my knee 3x following my first snowmobile ride, which involved my first snowmobile wreck.

Not fun. It does provide relief though.

Other than when that turkey baster-sized needle goes in...it's not too bad. Cortisone needle stings a little....like a wasp. Usually aches for a few hours until the steroid moves all around in the joint then it's much better.

This time, pain lessened, but it hasn't gone away...

Had that in my left elbow and left knee years ago.
Just started to swell up , drained a few times and over time went away.
It's funny as it looks like it hurts a lot, but doesn't hurt to touch it!

Bursitis is what I had.

Bursitis is the result of the underlying problem.

That is a good bit for a knee joint

Should have them install a drain with a stopcock on it so you can let it out as needed
(joking as that would lead to infection and a lot worse situation )

That amount matches the pain I was in the day prior.

Worse pain I've experienced to date....ever.

And I was 65 miles from home on a beaver job. It was hurting that morning as usual, but when I walked down a 30 feet high steep pond dam...I just about didn't make it back up. Felt like my my knee cap was gonna explode any step. That drive home was EXCRUCIATING!!!

That was on a Sunday....was at doctor's next morning.

No...not yet. No bulge behind my knee.

Most pain is on inside of each knee joint...just under bottom inside of knee cap. Some pain is under knee cap.

Still haven't seen a single thing good about getting older.
