Ya, that one was a pig. He just barely made it through the entry hole. Nice one to catch. I'm not sure if it was a long-tail or short-tail.

Finally getting time to set some rat traps. These fellas were already in the traps after I set them and checked while canoeing past them on the way back to my truck

Started my small trap line to help out the turkeys.

Few more from Illinois today. Few more days with the canoe before the water gets hard.

My three fisher sets had 2 coon that decided to come out and enjoy the mild weather. Did I mention I don't like catching coon? Only got a week left to catch a fisher. This is the only location I have fisher sets and always produces. I don't usually trap fisher until December after deer season,but next year I might have to thin the coon out before than. Five coon and a possum have managed to derail my efforts so far.
Fingers crossed.

Had a XXL possum plug a perfectly good canine set today. I wish the weather would just get cold and saty cold.

Picked up one more today had one DP tripped but pulled out

Crazy weather! Much like last year.
Checked and pulled traps today on the Marsh area I've been on. Still waiting on a Fisher too. Cool down on the way. I'll see how things shape up from there. Probably head North for some ice fishing after the 1st.

Todays catch, heard some swans migrating but couldn’t pick them out with the fog. Seems to be quite a few that migrate through my area nowadays.

I picked up a few more beavers this past weekend. The pond had lost about 3 feet of water, picking out the run between the house and the feed bed was pretty easy.



I haven't been doing much trapping so far. So on Sunday I tried some squirrel hunting. The dog treed 4, but marksmanship was a problem and we only got one out to him. Then he treed 2 daytime coon and 10 minutes later found another coon in a brush pile.



I have a bobcat tag and I'm anxiously awaiting some stable weather so I can get set up on some of those. There sure seems to be plenty around my area.

Now that's called mixing it up!! Looks like you been doing a little ice fishing too!

Nice catches guys. Good luck on the fisher Walt and the bobcat Jsell. We certainly have enough cats in our area. My bottom edge sets are all flooded and the coon have been raiding my weasel boxes. I've sprung everything and am waiting for the cooler weather and some snow.
