I also would keep right on trapping.

Couple yrs ago placed several traps on public after breaking trail through 2 -3 ft of virgin snow then started finding all traps tripped next daily check yep bunny snugglers decided that the trail I had to make to get traps out was a perfect place to snowshoe, had cams up and videoed them messing with traps. Turned videos over the Game Warden, went to court vandals ended up getting a tap on the wrist.
IMO I'd pull everything but bvr traps unless other tracks go to them too then they'd get pulled and town would be told your equipment is expensive and unless they are willing to cover cost if stolen you're pulling them too
