Any one find a foam gun that will last before it wont work after a couple of jobs or even just hours of use. Its a shame you have to order 2/3 at a time to unsure you have a working gun.. This as been a problem for years.

The only way I have found to get continued multiple use from a foam gun is to clean them after each use and keep a can of cleaner attached to the gun all the time between uses. I have had some last a few years with diligent maintenance like described.

I use this one 99% of the time.

Usually lasts 12-18 months, unless I drop it. Wipe the tip off when done, and I'll gently use a utility knife to scrape dried foam off of tip.Towards the end of its life, I have to use a lighter at the tip if it won't open. Once a can of foam is on I don't take it off until empty.

I’m bidding out a job right now that will require a lot of foam work, someplace around 700 feet of flashing just by looking, all 3 stories up. Plan on several guns, I have tried cleaning them, make sure they are closed good some just seem better than others. This place is eager to get started.

I have had a long gun for many years now, maybe 8 - 10 years as a guess. Don't us it as much it seems. Short ones we have gone through many. Some seem to last longer then others. Many issues come with employees not doing proper maintenance.

The key is closing the valve completely after each use.
And leaving the can on….

I've had the same gun for around 5 years . When I'm done using it I close the valve and clean the tip and never remove the can .
