Why do they even recognize this mixed gender stuff.
You are either a male or female. It's not complicated. Because they are mandated by Jail Standards and the law that they be recognized. Facilities across this Country have been dealing with this for years it is nothing that has just happened. Most have Specialized housing for trans gender just like they do for the Mentally challenged, They can not be housed in General Population either under the same mandate. It is a real pain to deal with. B

Well I do have to say..if I had my choice to spend five to ten rooming with 1000 sex deprived guys, or 1000 sex deprived women, I would be 100% willing to identify as just about anything...

Read New York City passed a law that in their jails you will get housed based on what gender you think you feel like. This makes perfect sense...wonder how the founding fathers missed this idea.¿ So a man can identify as a woman and be locked up with the woman? And the reverse is also true? Hmmm- so next we have to provide birth control, then medical personnel for pregnancy 'wellness', then the ACLU gets involved and of course we can't force them to give up the babies just cause they are in jail so we supply separate quarters for mother/child combinations? And on and on and on.......

Worked in a prison where a hermaphrodite sued the state for years stating he needed to go to the women's prison. The guy had breasts, but that was about it. Every time I saw him he had to tell me how he was being set up to get raped in prison.
That being said I did watch the state pay for hormone therapy for two male inmates that thought they were women. They both wanted breasts, and that was allowed. The one was caught in a situation in which he was the male half of the relationship, and almost didn't get his hormone therapy. I can only imagine a prison where men were allowed with women, it was disgusting enough to see what two guys would do to each other. Wade, one of my oldest friends was a prison guard from hired on to captain. As I politely told Chuck when we were drinking beer, keep it to yourself, I can't stomach it. Sorry, bro.
