I don't care if I catch them by the ear a catch is a catch sounds like your buddy is trying to make up for his short comings

Trapping is like a box of chocolates you never know what you're gonna get

In my mind, a catch is a catch.

However, I know that I am targeting a critter's front foot. I don't care which one... but I know I am not intending to catch a back foot. So, while I don't point out the back foot catch to the landowner... I know I have plenty of room for improvement when I catch a critter by a back foot.

A wolverine caught by a hind foot is usually better then a front foot catch.
They have a tendency to chew on anything in front of them when caught.

With the exception of beaver... most of the time... where I target the back foot.

I intentionally target the back foot on wolverine.

Sounds like you are spanking your buddy trapping. Got to come with every excuse he can.

Looks like they count to me. If Mrs. Fox wants to step on it with her back foot, who am I to tell her she is wrong?

Wasn't sure what was using the den hole, sat a #3 dbl long in front of the hole to find out. My guess is MR. Fox squatted when entering, exiting. Still makes me wince thinking about it
