I'll give you a hint........ It has something to do with the name of the store chain.
Soo ....... did you change the event to a mini golf tournament ??

To answer your basic question... Yes, I think their decision is bad for their business.
If I am in the business of selling ammunition then allowing people to advertise lawful events that involve the consumption of ammunition should be a no-brainer.

If it were my business I might even get crazy and post the flyer in the area where I stock shotgun shells...
Might even offer a small discount to members of Pheasants Forever who show their membership card at the register.
I know... I'm an anarchist.

I think their policy is no flyers of any kind .That is a fair question. I had not thought about If so, that's understandable... But I still feel it's a poor practice from a retail standpoint. Whether it's a golf scramble or a trap shoot I would advertise events that use the products I sell. Mike

I think Dick's sells guns as a sideline, they seem to be mostly an upper class yuppie store for anti's around here.

I think their policy is no flyers of any kind .That is a fair question. I had not thought about I can see their side of it, if they don't allow any flyers. Think of all potential flyers that could be posted if they allow them all, and think of the lawsuits if they try to pick and choose who's flyers are allowed.

They seem to be a store for soccer moms with rich husbands. I doubt their guns and ammo sales count for much more than a very small percentage of their profit.

I can not think of one reason why any of us on here would ever want or need to go back to Dick's. Their name fits well!
Providing wild fur to the industry at below the cost of production for over 50 years.
Mostly carbon neutral since 1948.

you didn't want anyone who frequents that store at your shoot anyway , try the grocery stores , hardware store , real gun shops, any place that does deer processing.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
