Hitler, and any other dictator style of leader didnt just march into town, throw out the old government, and sit down in the throne. It took time and manipulation, and popular suport of the people. They all followed the same print, and the trick works today in many walks of life becides government, even towns and neighborhoods. Truth is, if someone is trash talking anyone without them presant, its probobly a trick.
It begins by hyping up the threat, making people fear that something in there life will change at someone elses hand.
Tipping Points are used to manipulate the truth, in order to manipulate the people into demanding the changes that the dictators wish to inpose upon them.
Create a force to intimidate/enforce people to go with the program or experiance a change in life style for the worse.
Create a servalance aperatus, and make examples of a few well known people. At this point, there is no need to actually have a file on everyone, because they all think you do.
Close down oposition groups. Target key individuals and make them an example. Accuse the leaders of crimes against the state, and broadcast loudly every time tey are accused of anything by anyone.
Lots of drum beating leading up to last step. Normal people called traitors, accused of crimes against the people, and destructive movements against our way of life. By now its ready to be over, public doesnt want traitors,enemies, etc.
Declare martial law. Dictates exactly what you may and may not do, and by now, participants think its good, but the control of there own lives and future is gone.
Soon, the old way of life is gone and forgotten, and somewhere there are a few people laughing that they actually pulled it off!

Regulation can be a good thing if done right. Our trapper training program is mandatory. Lasts 2-3 days and costs 20 bucks. Our qualification to shoot deer with archery equipment in the city is 10 bucks, that's after a mandatory hunter safety coarse - 20 bucks for 6 classes.
