I plan to tan some wall hangers this year and am wondering which method to use. It will be the first time tanning for me.

I'd go to a site like Vandyke's, look at their tanning kits, and choose what best fits your plans. I would steer away from the orange bottle or other type products if you really want to have a nice product for your efforts. Just my two cents.

I trap for fun. I skin 'em for the money!

Thank you, I think I will order a TTI kit from F&T.

I've heard of people liking the Rittle's kit.

After talking to them at F&T, I did order the Rittel. They indicated it was the most popular one they sold.

for my wall hangers Ive just done an alum tan (or pickle). I dry them right on the board so they keep some shape. they turn out good and its quick and easy. I have a coyote I did about 5 years ago that still looks good. with wall hangers I don't worry about breaking since I like a little shape to them anyway.

I had an uncle use the orange bottle on 2 furs I trapped. The muskrat turned out pretty good but he seemed to have a heck of a time on the beaver.
