It may just be the angle but the head on the first bear looks big. Then again, I am not a bear hunter.

I have nothing clever to put here.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

Thanks BnB, when it cools off I will be chasing a buck that I have been watching.
160 my sons bear was really built different. Not a real big head but it didn't have much of a neck either. Very short bear but really wide.

Most bear hunters hunt in thick cover (baiting).
Early season with thick leaf cover is often 10 minutes time to get out and try another day.
Heavy cloud cover can knock that back even a few more minutes.

Hope that makes sense and hunters will adhere to that advice.

A couple hundred . your famous !

Legend in his own mind !! In 2018 he was pushing 400 trophy bucks killed!! I’m sure he’s pushing 550 now!! Only trophy bucks. All he hunts His words
He didn’t choose his name on here. The moderators reserved it for him because of his famousness!!

You think he is famous. I think he’s full of bear crap

I chose not to sit in my bow stand this morning as the wind would be blowing my scent right at the bait. You can guess which stand the bear hit this morning. I thought about trying to put a stalk on it, but the woods are pretty thick around there, I was worried I wouldn't be able to get close enough to take a shot without spooking it.

Bears are wierd. Some bears seem to care about human scent, others not a lick. Obviously the big boys don’t grow big being dumb, but if a person is by chance not being picky and looking to “just get a legal bear”, I personally wouldn’t worry about the wind a bit. My nephews bear the other day the wind was blowing right at the bears entry route. But, no two bears or two bear encounters are exactly the same!! Good luck all! Happy trapping! ScottW
