I would double check the legality on that.

If I’m in a vehicle by myself or with my family I always have a get home bag. Everything I need to be comfortable for 3 days and longer if things are stretched. I Feel weird without it plus. I’m in twice a week because something always comes up and I’ve got it in the bag.

Everyone needs a bugout bag, not for the apocalypse necessarily, but stuff can happen on short notice.

Everyone needs a bugout bag, not for the apocalypse necessarily, but stuff can happen on short notice. Bug out is different to me but yes everyone should carry something. First aid is often overlooked. Just having a good quality Tourniquet can save someone’s life while you’re driving home from work. Getting caught in a blizzard without anything, run out of fuel in the dessert, endless things to be prepared for. Not paranoid just plan old ready.

I keep an Israeli bandage in my bag too. A well thought through bag is a ton of fun putting together. Also a responsibility to me as a dad and husband

My back seat has a big space under it and hopefully the kits Ive made up will be enough when i need them. It gets so hot here the med kit is in a backpack cooler.

Curious if any of you guys are the prepping type?? If so what do you keep in a kit? I work at a hospital in the material management and everything that out dates I bring home instead of throw a way. Store in a tote. I have different things like wound care products, different types bandages, I've fluids, gloves, I have kept mostly something of everything but catheters. I figured what's the harm in keeping it if the world goes to poop even more so then now and somethings are not available. I keep things I don't even now how to use or what they do, but my wife is a nurse so she can show me when times comes. Maybe I'm just a hoarder! start having her show you how to do things it might be her you have to work on I keep probably more than normal for first aid my hunting coat has a kit quick clot sponge Israeli bandage tourniquet some 4 inch non stick pads Benadryl aspirin shears some other stuff

you know before they called it prepping it was called not being foolish
stores closed at 7-8pm at 9 they rolled up the sidewalks
it wasn't that long ago that if you had a headache after 8pm you would have to drive 25+ miles one way to an all night store and that would be a something like a truck stop by the interstate maybe a Walgreens in the big city that was open till 10
Benadryl , aspirin , ibuprofen , every year you bought a fresh bottle of kids cough syrup , and a bottle of adult tussin had tape and bandages .
there was always canned goods and stuff in the pantry , freezer of meat
kept the cars topped off all winter , and always a gas can in the garage.
wood pile and the house had a wood stove.
