Guess killing a pile of them and habitat management has run all ours off. I’ll get a pic of a lone boar every few weeks maybe and that’s it. It’s great for the property, but sucks for the thermal hunter, lol. Not sure I'll ever get that property to where you have yours, but a few of em are gonna die......yep dirt naps.

Swamp, being 10min from my driveway to the first gate has a lot to do with it too. When I can get a pic at 9pm and have a pig on the dirt by 9:30pm…I have an advantage, lol. That includes getting through the gate, parking, and stalking to the pigs. I bait my spots for predominant wind and ease of travel with optimal shot opportunities. I definitely have an advantage over your properties. 4 sure. The property with the hogs is 100 miles from my residence.

Yes hogs get trap shy easily but the wary ones can just about all be taken with a snare. I handicap myself but trapping mainly pastures with the cattle still on the ground but it can be done.

A big hog still alive on a snare always makes ya want to shoot from the pickup because what ever free movement they have they will use to test your gear and I doubt they are throwin a bluff at me.

I've seen a whole one, it was not cute lol. Only beavers can be snared in Georgia. Snare must be set in the water or within 10ft of water. Any other critters snared cannot legally be possessed.
