Had an opportunity to pick up a 7-shank Graham Hoeme plow recently at a reasonable price. Came with new cyclindrr and hoses (Im draining those as I dont want someone elses oil in my system) As I understand it, they were the first to produce chisel plows back in the day and were marketed as the plow that saved the plains during the dust bowl years. Made in Texas, and for the time, extrememly well built. Its probably going to be overkill for my plots, but it should do what I need for breaking some hardpan on my ground.

I enjoy working the ground and putting in plots nearly as much as hunting....

Anyone else have experience with the old 'Haymie' plows..?

Probably takes a few extra ponies pulling with those sweeps..! This one has 3" twisted points, but im going to change over to 2" straight points...trying to get as deep as I can.
