with the lax check laws out west, any body can have "4 coyote days", or 5 cat days" when you can go 3 days or more without checking.
in the east, pretty much have ti check traps everyday. 24 hour check law here in kansas, and about every state east of kansas.
i have no doubt i could go west, or east, and cacth animals. would take some adjusting, but wouldnt be hard.

trap runner- what about a cat caught in a coyote set? thered have to be some kind of leiniancy if your running for coyotes on a 3 day check and snag a cat....weired law. Cat and yote sets out here are pretty much the same thing...at least the exposed set...AND 5 cat days arent just a jiff out here!

In the East...I'd probably actually have a chance at catching a beaver! No nutria to run into my beaver sets! This is such a drunk-man's topic I swear. Think about the climate...That DVD "Rain Dogs" was filmed in the East. Oregon. Rain Dogs. Oregon. Get my drift? Western Oregon trappers would do pretty well in the east I think.

I would admit that most pictures i see of eastern trapping confuse me,Some make sense but more so than not it is way different to me But who ever said that from the pictures they see from the west they could pick location easy is just ..well.. i won`t use that word there is a million miles of Good looking Location out here but that don`t make it so..still gotta do your homework, and be able to understand the homework you have done
and to whoever made the statement that started this whole thread is pretty uninformed..lol.(that sounds a lot better than that word i wanted to use again)
i could tell you of some eastern trappers that have come west and found out it wern`t that easy at all..lol..but i won`t
