...and a "loud" bait together, to much scent to use at one set?

hec, try it and see. if it is real cold it will be a good idea. you wont know until you try. what works there may not work ten miles from there. good luck.

I go louder and louder as the temp gets colder,

Cold=Loud or Food Lure
Warm=Mild or Curiousity Lure

Probably! I have known first class big number fox and coyote trappers who never used more than a BB size gob of lure at a set, luring at least 100 sets with a 1 oz bottle of lure. One trapper who comes to mind specifically caught 80 to 120 red fox per season for over 50 years with 1 oz of Fox Super All Call, no additional bait, alternate lure or urines was ever used. Personally, I use a gob of lure the size of a kidney bean and never use bait in conjunction with a lure. I personally don't believe in skimping down to 100 sets per ounce BUT neither does lure have to be overdone. I'm sure using too much lure is responsible for way more set walkbys and avoidances than not using enough lure ever was. Overusage is a major factor in set walk-bys, stand-backs, set-circleing, set-rolling and even run-offs. Ace

lol - there ya go Asa. You answered the question and no one has anything to add, not even that gubmint man who is supposed to be taking up the slack for Wiley E.

Treated bait may be considered a lure also, and I think it enhances the attraction of a set.

Asa, I have a question. What about fisher? I have heard that you bait and use a loud call lure? What is a loud call lure? Could you over lure fisher like the K9's?

There hope this makes you happy lol.

I be happy to hear your thoughts on this thanks.

I doubt that one could generally or easily overlure a fisher. The main essence of fisher lures is skunk essence for two reasons. First fisher are more of a roaming animal rather than being predictable in their travels like canines and bobcats so the skunk is the best long distance call available. Water animals of course are generally in the water so sets are made at perfect locations. Second, fishers are attracted to skunk in a big way. Ace
