As a matter of fact there are. I don't know how it compares with other states but it is a very common affliction in Alaska.

NY, Particularly the WNY region, has a very high Diabeties rate. In my opinion, 2 major causes of it are the food that people are eating and the lack of exercise. There are a lot of overweight people in the County.

Well diet has a lot to do with it here also I think. But I also think that alcohol abuse is a large contributor here .
