We were finally in the 40's yesterday.  The birds are coming in better, but are fighting a stiff North wind.

Winter in our high country is still very much intact, even this far south. Picture from yesterday with 7 inches of new wet snow on top of a foot of winter snow not yet melted.  Was going to check out access to my camp.  Far as I got, still seven miles to go and another 1500 feet in elevation. Looks like another 3 weeks at least before I can go there except by snow machine.

  Jeff, did you catch that beaver above the ice?  yes Rafe..I was in my blind watching for Birds,and he popped out about 100yrds away,I was able to slowly walk right up and shoot him. some of the streams are opening up and a few guys are hunting them.
