First Moles Of The Season

Well, I started my first mole jobs today. Have a lady with 3 acres of lawn and mole runs that resemble a street map of New York City. I ordered 10 Victor Out-O-Sights and set 5 in her back yard to start with. I had just finished setting the fifth one, and I hear the first one go off. I'm thinking it's probably just a misfire, cause I filed off the triggers and some of them were a little too sensitive. So I walk over and pull it up and out pops a mole with it...still alive in the trap. So I take him out and reset the trap and put it back in the run, and as I'm standing back up, the fourth one I set goes off. Before it was all said and done, I caught three in an hour. Unfortunately I had to get the other accounts set up before it started raining, so I had to leave. I haven't been back yet because it's still down pouring, but I'm hoping to have several more tomorrow. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to order a bunch more because the calls just keep coming, and all the yards are large ones, most averaging an acre or less.

Using 7-up for bait huh? Clever! grin
They are really soft, If they were 10 times bigger they would be worth a fortune.

Yeah Greg,

They really are soft and if they were alot larger I bet they would take over the market. Hmmm...there is an idea. Let breed moles..a mole farm, or better yet cross em with a beaver. Now we're talking !

Looks like some nice sized ones! How many did you end up catching there?
