I was in St Marys earlier this week and saw Era unload that canoe from a plane. The plane was late as it took them a 1/2 just to load it in Emmo. It is a nice canoe.

Nice bull. That should be super tasty. I thought at first the antler was broke, but then realized the velvet was just pushed off that spot.

Moose season for me is officially OVER! I had gone goose hunting in the morning and come back to the house for a shower and a nap. Looked out the window to see the Broccoli Bandit eating the last of my cabbage (broccoli consumed long ago...) I have an antlerless permit for right here in Fairbanks Mgt Area, so I grabbed the bow, "stalked" to the end of my front porch and shot. Moose went less than 40 yards and died. I had a 30 yard "pack" to the garage! Did not take any photos, but I was finished by 2 pm on Opening Day! With all the wood cut and a moose hanging up, life is good! Pete

Not often you can grow meat and potaotes in the same garden.
Was it a baited hunt? Use that new food plot stuff, Moose'y Oak...
The You Pick farm has a problem with the moose eating the veggies. they seem to have "solved it", they got a life size wolf form and drapped, frankensteined whatever you want to call it, a wolf hide to it... and they use some wolf urine. It seems to have slowed them down a bit. From 100 yds away it looks good, but upclose, the weather and rain and the "seweing" job is BAD..... but the black rubber ball for a nose is realistic...

The Garden Plot, the northern version of all those Feed Plots I see on TV in the south. I think it has been the downfall of a number of moose over the years.
