I would like to see him hold a wolf trapping workshop here. How young was Brian? The one I know has kids in their early twenties. I wonder if it was his son??

Brian is quite a trapper! He was the ATA Trapper of the Year just a few years ago. Heck of a nice guy too.

For all the former New Yorkers in AK :

"new defibrillators in the town clerk’s office were put to good use recently when a taxpayer had chest pains and was taken by ambulance to the hospital."

Yes, Property Taxes in NY have gotten so high that people have gotten chest pains when paying their taxes !!!

The vast majority of the mobiles we have here on Kodiak are old old. The funny thing is that many sit on some of the best real estate in town. Ocean views, bluff lots etc. The high doller ones I spoke of are high priced due to location.

I don't know how it would work in Kodiak, but around here, when the Mobile Homes (or, Manufactured Homes, depending on what the salesman wants to call them smile ), get to be a certain age, the parks often will buy the homes at market value from the owners and then bring in brand new Double Wides . It is a good marketing tool for the Mobile Home Parks

$20 for the basic drivers license. Vehicle registration fees depend on where you live. $100.00 for passenger vehicles is the base...

http://doa.alaska.gov/dmv/research/fees2004.htm

Anchorage and probably other cities have additional fees that jack the price up somewhat.

Just saw that sign yesterday driving by it. It is on International, in the building and spot something else used to be, might have been hunter fisher???

Not sure though, never heard of them before that.
