Yes, it's cold here too. We had gusts to 43 last night. I checked locally on Wed and we will go up to the big line tomorrow and Sunday.

Wow, that's gotta be some strong wind to get through all that insulation.

Went out with the boys today (5&9) It was a bit breezy. Here is the "It's 10 degrees and 20 mph winds and you want to stop and take a picture... Seriously?" look from my boys.(plus a little sun in the eyes) They were troopers. Came back empty handed but had a good time.

I would rather go to jail for spanking my child, than have them go to jail because I did'nt. -or- Teach your kids, or somebody else will.

Gonna go below zero tonite, and still blowing 80 mph. Wind chill off the chart. I was going up tomorrow, but my line will probably have air temps (top of line), of around minus 10, and will get the full brunt of the 80 mph winds. Not into those wind-chill factors. Especially for a walk-in line. Going Sunday, instead. Wind should slack off, at least that's what I'm telling myself.
Just doing what I want now.

OUCH, that sucks! Couldn't set a foot hold under that tree to the left up on the bank with a bit of lure and some show?

Oh man I have had some frozen in canines before but don't recall anything that bad. Hope you had a ice pick handy or did you have to do it with an axe?

Nook, that just sucks with the water back filling as you chop. I bet you were covered when it was done, just like that cat looks.
I would keep it simple under that tree. No big cubby as it looks to be pretty protected under there. Just a wing with some lure and a trap under it. And if you wanted to get tricky, hang a few snares around it where there are spots.
