I saw a show last week filmed in AK. They showed a couple that lived in ANWR. They had lived there some 30 years. Their cabin was 125 miles above the artic. They said they fly out 2 times a year. How would you make money enough to fly out 1-2 times a year? I have no idea what it would cost but I would think it would represent many martin pelts. And how could you deal with no sun light for 1-2 months with out a means of elect or sun for solar? Thanks

Without seeing it, it would be hard to know about their finances. Maybe they guide in the fall or spring. Maybe independently wealthy. Might own a plane.

Well I know about Heimo and would like to watch the thing but would never be able to download a video that long. Connection is just too slow.

Luckily for me, it is supposed to snow all night, so I cna go to bed without guilt and nagging for not staying up....

Is your internet connection good enough for Youtube videos ? They have the same video on Youtube.

I can download a video that might be a minute or so in length but even that will take several minutes to download.

It's just not worth fooling with IMO..
