How do you post the direct links to this forum? When ever I try it does not hot link. I'm still needing likes on several of my pages. I'm liking almost everything I can find from this site as well as suggesting my pages to all 100+ of my "friends" and still not getting the likes. Am I that unlikeable.

For those of you who are lost on Facebook you will find I went into this whole "like" thing in detail on my last Facebook podcast earlier. I would post the link but Paul Dobbins made it very clear I can't . Sorry!

The podcast was about only about 40 minutes and discussed these two topics below in detail. Thanks to Mary Ellen "Lilibelle" Salys for asking most of the questions and giving me a chance to do it on the level of "see spot run" !

1. When liking company pages go to the company page and not just "like" it . The difference is liking the actual post and not actually liking the page .

2. The other common problem is being signed in under your personal account and not signed under the company page. By going in under "account" and sign in as your page you can actually like something twice. Once as a person and the second time as a company.

Well, it looks like someone else already has Varmint Patrol. My daughter went to "like" my page this evening and asked me, "Which one?" I said, "WHAT?!!" and she told me two showed up on her search. I logged in and, sure enough, there are two guys out in South Dakota who are offering a free service controlling people's varmints. They apparently set up their page on December 1, 2010. They've also already got www.varmintpatrol.com as their website. I've got a MS Publisher file on my hard drive from October 26th with "Varmint Patrol" on the business card, but I didn't actually register the name at the county court house till December 15th after I received my certification from the state in November and decided to make things legal. What do I do now? Do I need to pick another name, or does it not matter since they're in SD (and apparently not a business) and I'm in NC with no plans to go national?

I was going to see if I could get five more likes to get to 25, but I'm not sure if there's any point to it now... They're listed as a product/service and I'm listed as a local business; does that make a difference??

BTW, I had done numerous searches, Google, etc., and the name never popped up in a search till tonight.
