To the trapper in Gustavus that received my F&T order along with your own a few days ago... Merry Christmas. I hope you enjoy the thousand foot of 1/16 1x19, the dozens of slim locks and whammies and ferrules and the roll of 11 gauge wire. Did I miss anything?

Was that a post office error akpawpincher ??? Sure hope you can recover it. If that person was at all worthy of calling himself a trapper he should do what is right and send it to you. Hope that happens.

I worked it out with F&T. The individual in Gustavus ordered a bunch of stuff and my box got mixed with his and got his shipping label. He gets the stuff and I get to wait another 4 or 5 days for a new shipment to be sent out. I need it but won't die without it. Just one of those things. F&T knows where it is but due to the expense of having the person return it they are just letting him have it. How come I never get the good deal? LOL!

Good to see it worked out. You will be able to have it for a Christmas present now.

Kind of a long story, but I placed the order Nov 24th and I'm still waiting. Would have liked to had all my stuff built and set this weekend. I still have some snares left, but they are getting a little decrepit from being moved around and reset repeatedly, and most of the locks have been reused several times over and are wearing a little. I'll still get some stuff out this weekend regardless.

Looks tasty! I hunted out of Aniak some years back and a local told me that he preferred porkies over caribou. Said they had more fat.

Here's one of the bigger fox I've caught this year. I had to weigh it as it just "looked big". 18 pounder. I had one that went 21 pounds a few years ago. This one definitely fit into Len's vulpes vulpigalus...or whatever Kusko: Great looking Red Fox ! How many would it take to make a pair of fur gauntlets ? I have no idea. That's a wolfwoman question! I have lots if you are interested.

Akpawpincher, if you don't mind, PM me the individuals name, if you have it. While I don't know any trappers in Gusta, I do know people who might.
Just doing what I want now.

This weather sucks. Forced me to go into the freezer and start thawing and fleshing. Found a fox from two years ago that somehow eluded me. Good news is I'll be done with all of my capes, hides, and skins in a few days.
