April 6, 2012: 2 Muskrats today and put another half dozen sets out for rats just because I can.
No pictures really worth taking but, Will be putting a video out in a day or so on all of the rat catches since I started this spring.

April 8, 2012:Happy Easter folks. Today got only 4 rats. But here's a few pictures. Got 38 so far out of the swamp. I think alot of them must have froze out early in the winter, normally there are alot more rats moving around this time of year. Only able to run a dozen or so traps, then I run out of places to set. Having fun doing it though.

April 9, 2012:Only caught one rat yesterday as were getting a thin layer of ice on the swamp and they don't have to go in the water quite as much. I was dissapointed to find mink crap and tracks right next to a muskrat set. Shame I couldn't trap it this time of year... will do damage to my rats if he finds any. And took a beaver in the channel set I had made to stop any more "Stoploss Beaver". Fairly half decent sized male. Notice the nice big leech on his lip, yum yum! Here is my YouTube video of that beaver: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvyQuFmzss8Have also had a nice share of wood ticks on me in the last week. I'd say probably about 10 just from walking around out there.
