Nice stash!
The geese are flying like crazy here. I saw a flock yesterday coming down from the airport.. but still winter here in fact its like 18 degrees and still as much snow as when we left for hawaii.. the river ice is still solid and the few guys that came to sell beaver yesterday said they were still traveling on it. I guess I better shine up the shotgun and see if the snow geese passed yet.

What kind of seeds are those Dirt that look to be coming out of that Scat? I don't know. We got the rhubarb started from a clump from McDougall down river. I don't know if it was something the modern owners planted 30 years ago or if was there when they moved there and was from the McDougall trading post from the early 1900's.

NW, I was going to say, "that's a nice one on the end", then, I thought, no, that might get perceived wrong.
Then, I was going to say, "the one on the end is huge". Then I thought, no, that might get taken the wrong way.
So...I give up.
Ok, ok, I have it figured out where my words can't be minced...
Those are four nice Castor canadensis and it's good to see girls getting out trapping!

Second from the right is a nice one !!! The two on the right were HUGE! I had a 330 over a hole at the top of the house and that thing was DEAD on impact! The girls struggled to pull it out! Will have some more pictures after this weekend, then it will be dead bear pictures!

Just aren't as quick as me when it comes to killing and knowing that a shot needs to be taken quickly before the animal is gone! you could always have matt teach them about quick follow up shots and techiniques to empty a clip quickly, as long as you teach them the need to make those shots hit the target.

Wow guess I got out of there just in time Spek. Hit the far edge of Alaska yesterday. Chevak. Still looks like winter out there. First time for me riding a tracked ATV. Pretty cool. Really needs a hard or soft top and sides. The wind was blowing 30 from the sides and well I wasn't dressed for winter. ;0) Spent a few hours delivering a presentation and was back on the plane to Bethel for the night. Back to my second home in an hour. St Mary's Bet I could still trap beaver on a snowmobile out here still.
