Just doing what I want now.

There are thousands of snows sitting on the ice below Kalskag. One of my pilot friends flew down from Aniak following the river and told me this.

We've had geese here for over a week now. Our snow is melting pretty quick so I'll probably make 1 more trip for geese this weekend and then I need to fill the freezers with caribou before they disappear for the summer. Heres a snapshot of the front of our cabin we completed this spring on our allotment. Next winter Im gonna mount some caribou antlers and Ram horns to complete the ornaments over the entryway. Here's a pic of my Auntie overlooking the allotment facing north. Our own slice of heaven, 90 acres worth. Our cabin is on the lower left side of the snap shot right next to the creek. My Attata (grandpa) picked a pretty good spot for his allotment.
If it was easy, everybody would be doing it!

Have the rare opportunity to be in Fort Yukon on a project while they are simultaneously building a fish wheel (corrected) outside the same building. Very cool. Black spruce. One thing I learned was that it needed to be bent green prior to being peeled. Apparently they will crack if they are peeled first and bent. Will keep you posted.
