How you going to carry larger rolls. I would rather buy the small rolls for my wire roll feeder than mess with anything larger. I get all mine through MTS. They will send flat rate. So the shipping is cheap. All wire is not created equal. Especially tie wire you get at like spenards etc. Has bad spots in it. When I was a kid you could tie off a trap with 16 gauge. No more. I have lost marten to 14 gauge. Just don't make it like they used to. Seems MTS is better than the local tie wire you get. I buy the cheap stuff locally for hanging bait etc.

Luckily he had already expired and was still under the tree. How do you like the wire feeders FT? Been looking at getting one

haha, you know its summer and you miss trapping when you get wire and Lures are in the mail Box, postal lady called me :-) I really enjoy FT Harvester's Service and always got Flat rate priority shipping, anything from chain, wire, traps, even MB 750's and had them within 5 buisness Days.

LB and FT, I suspect you guys are using your wire wrong. Don't use it as an extension to your chain. Wrap a doubled strand of 16ga through the ring on your trap chain, and around your pole, limb, or whatever you are fastening to. Twist both ends together, so it brings the ring tight against the pole. No slack, and no flex point on the wire. If you leave a flex point, by using wire as an extension, I would expect breakage. Wiring solid like I described, should hold any marten you catch. It's worked for me on thousands of them, with no problems, anyway. I just use cheap 16 gauge rebar tie wire.

Something a friend showed me that work great too is to wrap your roll in duct tape. Cut out a center hole to pull your wire out of. It works real well. Far better than nothing. Actually I like it almost as much as the feeders. [/quote] Mad-Mike showed me that trick. Itworks great!
Just doing what I want now.

I saw that Keta re-branding when I was on an AK air flight....
Hey, it worked for alot of other things....fanny pack = gay...... Lumbar Bag= acceptable.. I can't beleive how many people I talk to from outside that buy the canned bumblebee pink salmon.....
if you can re-name it and sell it to outsiders for top price, that is awesome.
