Thanks AKN....and Happy Birthday!
we managed to get three Kings in our Chum gear as well, we cant sell them so we are jaring fish today and cut a dozen strips for the smoke house,so we are pretty happy about that, as we have not had a subsistance king opening yet this year.
seems like the Fish are still hitting the lower river yet but this is realy late in the season and I suspect they were just late because of the cold water we had this year.
they had 9 comercial openings down river so far we could of fished but its a 80 mile round trip and from what I heard the boats were stacked up pretty good...not my kind of fishing.

46 degrees this morning, rain going sideways, wind sounded like it was going to take the roof off all night long. Look's like October on the Ak Peninsula here this morning. Got a dusting of new snow on the mountain tops this morning too. Anyway, June and July has been pretty cloudy and cold here this year. Maybe we are going into an ice age? Where is the news media? bob, what is the generator for? You run the bear fence around the boat perimeter??
did some hiking the other day and there are just starting to be some buds on the high level alders...
i wonder if they will have enough time to prepare for the winter, being that they don't even have leaves yet...

We spent the last 10 days in rain down pour at times. Some of the ugliest weather I have seen in a while
