Jeff I was biking and running and working alot. Since the fishing sucks. I only went once this year. I haven't even been to kodiak to fill pawpinchers freezer for him... Yeah, we are afraid we might starve to death without your divine intervention. Fishing Tuesday if the weather clears...I'll take pictures to remind you what it's like... "The spandex trapper"...LOL!

Frozen Oakie: Use a 4 to 1 Brown Sugar/Salt brine for 24-36 hours than dry till heavily glazed then hot smoke them. Usually dry for 1-2 days but this year with all the rain its taking longer. My bride at times uses variations of Yosida sauce etc in the brine. Lots of work. I call them flying fish because this time of year everyone becomes very friendly to us. I use the same brine for Atlantics except we add 1 oz pickeling spices for every 2 lbs of brine.
There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness

YJ was it a net caught one or hunted? The guys here usually hunt them in late fall and do their best to take the tender grey ones. We usually only see white ones taken incidentally in nets.
We get out of life only as much as we really want and work hard enough to achieve
