He probably did not clean them, just chopped them up, and the "goose food" ended up in the pot pie.

Yes they kind of do look like eggs..

They contain 300% of vitimin C per serving..so better than the fruit we get at the store.

these will be preserved in a jar soon smile some will be frozen for winter use.

Big year for salmon berries here too more so than normal.s has put away over 5 gallons and has 2 or 3 more she is still cleaning. She mentioned that the blueberries are really thick this year as well and should be ready in the next week or so.

A friend in Lime Village picked 2 gallons of blueberries there this weekend. She was headed out to get another two gallons yesterday. It sounds like they are doing well in that neck of the woods.

We saw ripe cranberries near McGrath on Saturday. Well, they looked ripe. I didn't eat any. They are not my favorites.

I'm waiting for my domestic raspberries to ripen!

I didnt notice alot of them, but I was in more of a salmonberry spot, we had plenty of rain so I would imagine picking will be decent, still a week away on them here.

Haha, gotta love the world of N/R travels. Bumped to seattle three times and was to wait till 4pm. So i checked the flights from seattle to LA and looks like i'll be into LA tomrrow at some point tomorrow, so we gave up on the trip south. Our return dates were the 6th but they were gettting sketchy with seating so we gave up till next year. Jus gonna hang out here in Fairbanks and get the kids ready for school. Guess go see what Frontier outfitters and sporties has to offer. And bring them to the Fair here.

Jeff, I skipped the Pitbull event and took my dog for a hike instead. My wife went to it and said it was pretty good. He was a good sport and Walmart HQ donated 35k to local charities. If I didn't hate rap with every fiber in my being I might have gone... well, probably not...lol!

AKN, will do. Was looking for a truck to buy online today. No call backs so far. Needing something while in town then bring to the barge lines. A few days of appointments with the kids then should be free afterwards.
