Paul, the problem as I see it is that even though the majority of Muslims are not radical, I believe when push comes to shove those "moderate" Muslims will choose to stand with the radical minority.
On a different note, I just returned from the movie theater. I took my 13 year old son Shaun to see Dinesh D'souza's 2016-Obama's America. A very eye-opening take on what has shaped Obama's thinking, and what to expect if he's re-elected. It made me proud that my son was riveted to this documentary. I think this is the only time in my life that I didn't mind paying $10.00 for a ticket and $17.00 for popcorn and cokes!

I heard on the radio today that the maker of that anti-Muslim film is now being blamed for the high price of gas, the huge unemployment rate, and the under-education of our nation's children! I'm starting to get a little concerned for the kids and grandkids. Not so much because Obama could get re-elected but for this country. What kind of people now live in the USA that would do such a thing? Nah, he only gets a small part of the blame. Don't want to take anything away from Bush now. BTW, Bill Maher made a documentary that put Islam and Muslims in a bad light. Why no bruhaha?

Probably because nobody in their right mind would watch Bill Maher! Phil, you need to do a sanity check. Anyone that doesn't know about Muslims, hasn't heard of the Crusades. I know, I know, more people have been killed in the name of Jesus Christ than any other name. Those of us who call themselves Christians, sincerely hope that more people have been saved by believing in that same name! Paul, Paul, you are are not understanding me brother. Maher and other leftie wing nuts are the enemy. I want to know what they say. It is mostly repulsive and tough to take in, but a small price to pay. Need to know where they are going and what they are thinking. Know your enemy.

I gotta give you credit Phil. I tried watching when he had someone interesting on. ( I'm sure that only happened once ) When I started to feel sick to my stomach from watching Hollywood millionaires who pay less than you and I in taxes, talking about the needy, I decided to watch "Kill Bill" for the seventh time instead.
P.S. Phil, are my sentences still dis-jointed when I try to double space?

UPDATE FROM AFP (Monday, Sept. 17, 2012): Read more at http://www.mstarz.com/articles/4881/2012...vRzaLtBU0cW5.99 U.S. Ambassador Christopher Stevens was reportedly sodomized and raped before his tragic death in Libya according to a report by a Lebanese media publication Tayyar.org. The report cited the AFP (Agence France-Presse) who received the information from a Libyan Interior Ministry senior member. An english translation of the original article from arabic read, 'The U.S. ambassador to Libya was raped sexually before killing by gunmen who stormed the embassy building in Benghazi last night to protest against the film is offensive to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).' The sources said that 'Ambassador was killed and representation of his body in a manner similar to what happened with Gaddafi, such as murder.' " Read more at http://www.mstarz.com/articles/4881/2012...vRzaLtBU0cW5.99I wonder if they were dragging him in the streets before or after he was sodomized and killed. Anyone notice how many times the White House has changed their story on what really happened in this apparent PRE PLANNED ATTACK. A video ?? What about Angry Libyans for our supporting the overthrow of their government. Better yet if Al-Qaeda did this maybe just maybe they are upset because OBAMA claimed to personally take out Osama bin Laden giving the order half a world away with no regard for the heroism .

Hey Robb, I don't buy the rape and sodomy story that originates from a Lebanese website that I've never heard of. In the video showing the Libyans carrying out his body(alive or dead?) from the blast area that was shown on the Huffington Post article I linked to earlier, there is still plenty of smoke and dust in the air. Looks like the rocket blast just happened. There's just no time or opportunity for any rape in that situation. All serious accounts that I have read suggest he was taken to the hospital for treatment, but was beyond help at that point.
Looks to me like this was a terrorist attack, and that the local Libyans did what they could to try to help the victims. There is a lot of stuff on the internet that is designed to inflame people and just pour more gasoline on the fires of religious divisions, and a lot of it is simply not accurate.
Pesky, you say that having Hillary Clinton deliver a message to Arabs is going to spark more protest, because she is a woman. Well if we are not going to give an inch on our right of free speech in this situation(and I agree that is the right response), well then I also don't think we should give an inch when it comes to our rights regarding sexual equality. If Moslems have a problem with internationally recognized rights to free expression, that's their problem, not ours. And if they have a problem with internationally recognized right to sexual equality, then in my book, that's also their problem and not ours. I am no fan of Hillary Clinton, but I don't think she should be silenced in this situation because she's a woman.
OK, that's it. I'm only talking mole and gopher trapping from now on. LOL.

Robb, I agree that it sounds like it was a pre-planned attack. I just don't buy the story about him having been raped. Just doesn't seem likely in that situation. The guy that did the original "movie" that started this whole thing was a Egyptian Christian that seems he wanted to provoke Islamic violence to make them look bad, and he certainly succeeded in that, not that it's particularly challenging to provoke them. But Lebanon also has a wide range of religious groups, and my guess would be that someone made up the story about rape and sodomy to further inflame the whole situation.
And I don't think the attack on the embassy and the murder of the ambassador has the general support of the Libyan people, and that's a good thing. There are a lot of different factions and loyalties in Libya, just like in most of these countries, but I think the vast majority of Libyans truly are glad to be rid of Khaddafi, and really want to build a more reasonable society. I wouldn't bet money that they're going to succeed, but I do think they want that. And I hope they do succeed, even though the odds may be stacked against them.
