LOL! You still crying about that? He put you on 'em didn't he? The banana peels are ripe and extra slick this year! I had several impressive near calamities.
A fellow I know fell about 400' yesterday breaking ten ribs, puncturing a lung, shredding a knee and breaking a leg. Got rescued by helicopter and medivaced to ANC last night. Core temp was 90F when they got him to the hospital. South Road System hunt.

Kinda. He and his buddy were side hilling with crampons and it sounds like he lost the bite in the slick stuff after his crampons loaded up. He slid, then free fell about 40 ft off a cliff then bounced down the hill until he hit a big rock. That last rock did most of the damage. Sounds like he is doing ok given the circumstances but no doubt will be hurting for a long time.

Went exploring this year for moose, well not really I spent a lot of time studying the map and moose harvest records for different GMUs. Found a spot next to a healthy pop. and was hoping there would be over flow into the drainage I was hoping to navigate up. Found a healthy number of moose and we brought two home. No hunter pressure except for us for the most part and no real sign of it in the past. We saw five bulls (heard a few others) and shot two all that we saw were old fellas with the degenerating antlers. Did not really pick through just took what we could get. We passed on two, one at dark and one to far from camp on a fuel run. Both of those were bigger than these. We will see what happens next year if we can get back up in there. These old nasty bulls taste great I aged my hind quarters 11 days.

You wouldn't know it by the picture but that river is a whole different color than when we got there and about three feet higher, that was the last day and only day without rain. The other shots were taken between rain storms.
