Earlier this summer i had the fortune of doing a bat removal/exclusion on an old log home that was once owned by a nemn senator, and was frequented by President Teddy Roosevelt many times as a hunting retreat. It was pretty neat and the inside of the home remains the same as it was back in 1908-1912 when the President was using the lodge.

Now the past 2 days i was doing the same type of work on a very old but very large log home for an unnamed person with a pretty famous family member...

yes i asked if i could take the picture. they told me the story of the bell, and it was long and not that exciting

there are several famous people who have summer homes where we live but none called this summer.

I do a lot of work in the Hamptons.Though I have not done any work as of yet for someone famous that I know of .I think its just a matter of time.Going out that way this morning My wife breaks out the binoculars as we go through the towns looking to see one. They just had some knd of film festival going on last week .Driving through that place is worse then the city on weekends .

When training some NWCO's and companies in Connecticut several years back we had some service calls at several noted celebs estates or summer homes. Dustin Hoffman, Michael Bolton the singer and "Lurch" from the Adams family fame. In Arkansas I did work for Garth Brooks and Randy Travis years back on their ranches for coyote and bobcat control. Had dinner with Randy one nite while working there.

I have done plenty of work for the famous and anonymity was the one reason I kept getting their business.

The penthouses along Sarasota's beaches were full of them.

Notice I don't mention their names !! Just saying!

I did some work years ago for baseball great Willie Mays. He was totally cool and down to earth, answered his own phone, asked me to "just call me Willie, everone calls me Willie", and he spent 15 or 20 minutes talking to me while I set traps. He's the most famous person I have worked for, but I have also worked for a few mega wealthy business people whose names everyone would know(but I am not going to post them)

The thing I worry about the most with very famous or wealthy people is how I come across to them. It's been my experience that asking intelligent questions about the problem that caused them to call you in the first place, is a good way to start.

WE have a very famous female country singer who bought a home a few miles away from ours and my wife said if she ever calls my wife is going on the call! lol

in my mind you cant treat them any differently than anyone else. as far as annonimity, i dont talk about a customer or their issues with anyone else anyway no matter who they are. sure i may say "well i had a similiar situation this summer and we had to do this, this, and that." but i would never drop names

Not a famous celebrity really but my neighbor is a Winter X-games snowmobile gold medalist and I trap muskrats in his pond.

Drop your AWP for a friend?

Atlanta has it's share of notables. Never really got into the whole famous personality bit as truth be told if you told me who they were I'd have to be honest and say "never heard of them". I don't do pop culture. If it ain't work related, conservative talk radio or on the news I usually miss it.
All in all I rather like working for notables or at least the top tier notables as the process seems simpler. Their busy folks not to interested in me but they have a problem and let's get it solved and money is not the issue so tell me what you need and get it gone. The ones I've grown to dislike are the up and comers or the local celebs that no one outside of the small pond ever heard of, those folks are full of themselves.
I did a squirrel job for Rachel Arrington, I know you never heard of her, the ex wife of Mayor Richard Arrington of Birmingham, AL. He's notable for being the first black mayor of Birmingham and having served for over twenty years. BTW, he spent time in the federal country club system as have several of Birmingham's past mayors. She was a beeatch with a capital B and I couldn't get out of there fast enough.
A couple of my recent favs have been a retired army four star, being an enlisted man that one made me nervous and you can bet your sweet bippie my boots had a fresh shine and my shave was unusally close that morning. All in all a great job that finished with one of the best compliments of my life. He said I would have made a fine command sergeant major. I consider it my unofficial battlefield promotion, LOL.
The other is a current smash hit show on AMC filmed right here in Senoia. They are great to work with as long as I can work around their shooting schedule. They call every time the california cast gets nervous, seriously those folks get scared of the dark as they've never strayed otside the beam of the street lights, and they pay generously and on time.
