November 13, 2012:

Am hard at work right now hauling hay, and cutting wood for the garage at work:

Will be hauling wood out of the bush for myself this weekend with the work tractor. Quite a bit of snow, need the extra horse power to relocate some of it.

On another note, I had a weasel dig into a bag of bait on my back step. He had a mini-highway coming out from under my step:

Set traps like crazy for him last night, 4 of 5 traps were sprung with no weasel. Set #5 was a beautiful site.

Glad you got him!

Rumors of my assimilation have been greatly exaggerated.

November 15, 2012:

Well... today school was great. Myself and POWER SNARER were able to construct Marten boxes while in our English Class.

Not to sure what is going on inside the minds of our teachers, but I am liking it.

Not a bad way to spend a class even if the drills were crap.

November 17,2012:

Went this morning and got my snow machine from the repair shop. Checked the coyote snares on the way home.

Wasn't the best place for the snare to go off, but considering they were all covered with snow I won't complain.

Waiting for lunch now, then off to set some Marten and Fisher sets. Will post photos of that later on.

November 17, 2012 (continued):

On my way out to set marten sets, I checked a couple of weasel traps I had out. Ended up catching two of them. Making 4 in the last week.

And then went out trapping. Quite a bit of marten tracks in the woods. I am expecting good results when I go out to check. TONS of red squirrels and rabbit tracks also.

Looks like there's a few tracks in the pictures, and there's tons of rabbits here this year also would be great bait.

I wouldn't use the meat for bait. Too tasty to pass up.

November 20, 2012:

With 5 days remaining of rifle season, I dropped a doe this morning at first light. Perfect heart shot, she ran maybe 200 yards.

Happy to also say that I get to fill my neighbors tag, so I still have 5 days left to take a buck that's in the area.
All the insides will make good coyote bait, much like what this bald eagle was snacking on this morning.

Off to process it I go. smile
